    Medicated Abortion Information & Referrals

On May 2, 2023, legislation was checked in New York State (A1295-C/S1213-B) that requires all public colleges and universities in the SUNY and CUNY systems provide access to medication abortion. The law needs that every SUNY and CUNY school offer access to abortion medication to their student body either by using or contracting with licensed people who might recommend abortion prescription drugs, or by supplying trainees with info and referrals to companies authorized to recommend abortion medication.

Westchester Community College does not supply pre-natal care on-campus. The Health Services website will maintain a list of community companies and/or service providers licensed to recommend abortion medication. Students will be referred to the Office of Accessibility Services for pregnancy or pregnancy related lodgings.

    Allied Health Students:

Upon admission to programs within the Health Sciences Curriculums that require scientific rotations to different medical facilities, trainees will require to submit documents of the outcomes of a physical examination, lab tests, and specific vaccinations to Health Services. The nurses will evaluate and supply clearances to those students who have satisfied the requirements as set forth by the New York State Department of Health for Healthcare Personnel and Clinical Affiliates. Each (curriculum) needs the physical test process be done at particular times.
